The Ultimate Posh Accent.

Hi,everyone! How are you? I’m actually pretty good, actually, I feel so happy and positive which I haven’t felt like in a long time.

All week I’ve been wearing my glasses which I really hated because I don’t think I suit glasses. I wish I did because glasses look so chic on most people but of course, they don’t look good on me.

But finally, my contact lenses have arrived!

The reason why I didn’t like wearing glasses is because I look a bit like the ‘typical nerd’ and it doesn’t help that I have a fucking posh English accent as well.

Even English people think that I have the ultimate posh accent.

I can’t help it, I just sound posh whatever I say (even swearing). I try to do the chav, Welsh, Irish and Australian accent but I still sound so posh.

I’m not posh by the way! My family are Middle-Class so we ย basically aren’t living off benefits but we aren’t living in really big houses and going to private school.

The thing is people can’t take me serious when I’m peed off because they think my accent is funny..

And it annoys me, hahaha.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Anyway, I hope you’ve had a good day and I know this post was really short but I have tons of revision but I’ll see you tomorrow with another (longer and interesting) post ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. My accent is the complete opposite but we all sound similar in my area so it doesn’t bother anyone. I think my accent is the least of my problems though ๐Ÿ˜‚

  2. ME TOO AHHH! I’m a normal middle class girl, I go to a normal school and live in a normal sized house. But due to being english and then having so of my dads cornish accent, I sound quite post. But due to my vocabulary being quite vast in comparison to some people in my area who tend to use words such as “buff”, “bun” and words like that- its quite hard not to sound post haha!

  3. Sameeee!! I have a posh English accent too which sucks because I come fro the West so should have a West Country accent like my friends but nope, I’m just stuck with a posh one ๐Ÿ˜‚ I get the thing about people not taking you seriously though, it’s really irritating and people also pick me up on saying things ‘wrong’ because I pronounce words lile grass and class the ‘posh’ way apparently ๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. Haha I always thought I was really well spoken but whenever I go away on holiday anywhere and meet any other Brits, apparently I have a pretty strong Yorkshire accent! Oh the pains of accents… X

  5. Do you ever get that struggle when your friends, who have known you for ages, say they can’t understand anything you say because of your ‘accent’ ๐Ÿ˜’๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
