I don’t want to get it again.

Guys, as you probably know my anxiety has settled down a lot recently but I feel like I’m going to be sick..

Right as you may know, I’m scared of loud noises and I feel like a wreck whenever I’m even in the same street as a balloon. It makes me panic so much and I can’t deal with it.

So tomorrow, in Physics, we are going to be using air rifles to see the speed of sound. And I am dreading it so much and my hands are just shaking with the thought of seeing and hearing the gun go off.

I know loads of people in this blogging community have anxiety and have loads of panic attacks. You might not understand this but I’m scared that I am going to have a panic attack in front of the whole class. I just can’t deal with everyone staring at me and wondering what the hell is happening. I’ve had this before and I hate it when people ask me about it and I hate talking about it..it just makes me feel odd and weird.

The thing is I told my physics teacher about not liking loud noises and he said that he will put me the furthest away from it than anyone but I don’t think he understands that I don’t want to be on the field, I don’t want people asking questions. I just want to be inside safe and away from everyone else.

I can’t deal with another bad day. Omg, I don’t want to start getting panicky again, my life was so much easier when I avoided things like this. Should I just bunk off but I have to get good grades..

I just know I’m going to have a panic attack tomorrow…

Everyone at school and home just don’t understand what it’s like. They just think I’m trying to get attention or I’m just really dim headed.

I’m so so so so so scared..

Has anyone got any tips or something?

  1. I am having the same problem… I am so freaked out by anything related to the circulatory system. We’re about to start the human body unit…I’m really afraid that I will have a panic attack or something. It’s the only thing in the whole unit that bothers me though. I need to tell my teacher, but there is nothing she can do. I still have to be tested on the information, so… I’m in a bit of a situation here. Good luck with the lab, I hope it goes well and you don’t panic!

  2. I have panic attacks about being scared I’m going to have a panic attack, so I know what it feels like. Is there anyone you can talk to, like someone who is in charge of your wellbeing at school? They could arrange something for you. Or you could get your parent/guardian/older sibling to email your physics teacher (idk if you can do that at your school) explaining the problem. If not, then try to absorb yourself into something different whilst the experiment is happening, write a blogpost in your head or have a daydream. I know things like this don’t cure anxiety, but they may help you temporarily. Always here if you need to talk x

  3. OK so here is how it goes, you get scared, so do I. It is perfectly normal and it is something we cannot control. So you have to sit down and simply accept the fact that anxiety exists. Anxiety does exsist, and it is shit. But there is no point trying to control and worry about this thing you cannot change. You just have to do what’s best for you, stop thinking about what others will think. if it is pressing your anxiety to much don’t do it. If it comes to the thing you are stressing about and you feel capable, then do it. Surprise yourself. Beat the shit out of your anxiety and prove to yourself that your anxiety doesn’t define you. Once you accept the fact that you feel anxious and you start doing what is best for you. It will start feeling a lot better. Also talk to the teacher or somebody you really trust, doing things that wont benefit you and that effect you negatively is not good. And I am sure they will be as supportive as we all are four you.i hope that helps you sweetie. I really hope you are OK and it all goes well. I am always here for you πŸ’žπŸ’ž

  4. Oh no. I had anxiety in my biology class when we had to disect a lambs lungs, not that long ago. A bit ironic, isn’t it? But, I think a lot of people are more scared of the thought of having a panic attack than actually having it. I can’t really do much, but make sure you have someone who you feel safe with next to you when you have physics (maybe a friend) and try and find something that will distract you so that you can stop yourself from actually thinking about it! I actually did a post about it so if you want to read that it might help. Also just remember that it’s okay to have anxiety, and maybe stand by the window when you are in the lesson because I think fresh air can really help sometimes! I hope this helps a little and stay strong, it will be okay, plus me a lit of bloggers (including me) will be here for you xxxxxxxxx πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

  5. I don’t know your situation is like at all but maybe try talking to your teacher again or a school counsellor and explain that what’s going on and why you can’t. Or maybe get your parents to contact the school if you need to

  6. Well everyone’s said what I was going to say, but I think you should tell your teacher you really can’t take part in the lesson and you’ll copy up the work you’ve missed; also tell him that even if you were there you wouldn’t be able to concentrate, so there is no point putting yourself through something like that πŸ™‚ x

  8. Tips wise I really don’t know how I could help! But I do know that sometimes is good to face your fears, and who knows, since your panicknes has settled down lately, maybe your strength grew bigger and you’ll get through this a lot easier! Good luck and remember, avoiding things that you fear can sometimes not benefit you in the long run! 😦
